The negative impacts produced by the information revolution era are the fading of humans from their own cultural roots and local wisdom that is the heritage of their ancestors so that currently there are many communities that campaign for social movements, one of which is the social movement of women wearing kebaya who re-actualize Indonesian culture in everyday life. The purpose is how the social movement of women wearing kebaya groups preserves kebaya clothing. This study uses qualitative and the selection of informants using purposive sampling techniques. The data used is interview techniques, observation, documentation, and literature studies. The findings reveal that the Selaksabaya community actively preserves the authenticity of the Indonesian kebaya by promoting its use in daily life while maintaining its traditional characteristics, including modesty, elegance, and adherence to cultural values and social norms. Furthermore, the movement functions as a cultural preservation strategy by fostering public awareness and encouraging younger generations to appreciate and sustain Indonesia’s traditional attire.
