Strategy is crucial for fostering musical interest in children. This
study aims to analyze the public relations strategy of the Alliance
Violin Community in Depok in fostering musical interest in children
aged 7-15 years. This study used a qualitative approach with a
single instrumental case study method. Data were obtained through
semi-structured interviews and documentation. The results showed
that the public relations strategy was implemented through four
stages of public relations: fact-finding, planning, communication,
and evaluation. The strategy was implemented through regular
practice, public music performances, free concerts, interpersonal
communication, and the use of social media. The implementation of
this strategy can create a fun learning experience, increase
children's self-confidence, and change the perception that violin
music is rigid. Parental and environmental support are the main
supporting factors, while limited time and information dissemination
are inhibiting factors.
