Abstract

This study develops an Internet of Things (IoT)-based water quality monitoring system for household use. The system integrates pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), and temperature sensors with an ESP32 microcontroller. Measurement data are displayed on a 4×20 LCD and transmitted to the Blynk platform for real-time monitoring. The system was tested for 60 days in a residential environment using random sampling. Results showed water temperatures of 24.7–31.3°C, TDS levels of 180–610 ppm, and pH values of 6.6–8.7. The system identifies elevated TDS levels above 300 ppm and provides filter replacement alerts. Following filter replacement, TDS levels returned to the normal range. These findings demonstrate the system's potential to support continuous household water quality monitoring and filter maintenance.
