This study aims to design and implement a digital stethoscope to improve diagnostic accuracy in cardiac auscultation. Conventional stethoscopes have limitations in sound sensitivity, noise reduction capabilities, and do not support digital data recording and analysis, thus potentially lowering the quality of diagnosis. Therefore, the development of digital stethoscopes based on acoustic sensors, signal boosters, analog-to-digital (ADC) conversion, and microcontrollers is a promising solution. The research method included hardware design and device performance testing by comparing the results of heart rate measurements to the standard 12-lead ECG examination. The test was carried out on five male respondents with an age range of 26–46 years, and involved three medical personnel as examiners. The measurement results showed that the first respondent obtained a value of 85–90 bpm compared to ECG of 90–91 bpm, the second respondent 77–80 bpm compared to 79–81 bpm, the third respondent 80–85 bpm compared to 81–85 bpm, the fourth respondent 90–94 bpm compared to 90–92 bpm, and the fifth respondent 101–112 bpm compared to 100–105 bpm. Overall, the measurement difference was in the range of 1–7 bpm with a low average deviation, indicating a good level of accuracy and consistency between testers. In addition, digital stethoscopes are able to improve signal quality through noise amplification and filtering features, making it easier to identify heart sounds.
