DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN ESP32-BASED GAS MONITORING SYSTEM USING FUZZY LOGIC ALGORITHMS AND A WHATSAPP GATEWAY

Keselamatan kerja di laboratorium kesehatan masyarakat sangat penting, khususnya dalam mencegah paparan gas beracun yang sulit terdeteksi secara langsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sistem deteksi gas beracun berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) yang mampu memberikan peringatan cepat melalui notifikasi WhatsApp.
Sistem dirancang menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32 yang dipadukan dengan sensor MQ-135 dan algoritma Fuzzy Logic untuk mengklasifikasikan tingkat bahaya menjadi tiga kategori: aman, waspada, dan bahaya. Sistem juga terintegrasi dengan WhatsApp Gateway untuk mengirimkan notifikasi secara otomatis. Pengujian dilakukan di Laboratorium Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Bhakti Husada Indonesia (UBHI). Sistem mampu mendeteksi kebocoran gas secara akurat, mengaktifkan alarm suara dalam waktu kurang dari 3 detik, dan mengirimkan notifikasi WhatsApp secara real-time. Implementasi algoritma Fuzzy Logic meningkatkan akurasi klasifikasi tingkat bahaya, sedangkan integrasi IoT memastikan pemantauan udara dilakukan secara berkesinambungan. Sistem deteksi gas berbasis IoT dengan algoritma Fuzzy Logic dan WhatsApp Gateway terbukti efektif, hemat biaya, serta dapat meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan pengguna laboratorium terhadap risiko paparan gas beracun.
