Rancang Bangun Alat Bantu Navigasi Tuna Netra Berbasis Arduino Dengan Sensor Ultrasonik
Abstract
Penyandang tuna netra sampai saat ini masih memiliki kesulitan dalam beraktifitas, utamanya pada hal mobilitas di kehidupan sehari-hari. Diantara penyebabnya yaitu keterbatasan sarana dan fasilitas untuk menunjang mereka dalam melakukan kegiatannya. Fasilitas utama yang selalu digunakan yaitu tongkat tuna netra. Tongkat ini membuat perjalanan para penyandang tuna netra menjadi lebih mudah. Akan tetapi terdapat keterbatasan pada tongkat konvensional, yaitu tidak mampu mendeteksi adanya benda yang tongkat tersebut tidak menjangkaunya. Penelitian ini mengembangkan suatu prototipe alat bantu berjalan untuk tuna netra sehingga keterbatasan pada tongkat konvensional dapat tertutupi. Alat ini dirancang menggunakan mikrokontoler AtMega dalam papan tunggal mini arduino, speaker haeadset, sensor ultrasonic dan pemutar suara. Penelitian ini menghasilkan rancangan alat mampu mengenali keberadaan penghalang pada jarak maksimal 310 cm dengan rentang kesalahan diantara 0.2% - 5%.
